Howard Marks (1945 - 2016) wrote the international bestseller Mr Nice, which describes his years as one of the world's most wanted drug barons. It has sold over a million copies worldwide and was released as a film, starring Rhys Ifans, Chloe Sevigny and David Thewlis, in 2010. His debut crime novel about DS Catrin Price, Sympathy for the Devil, was published to great acclaim in 2011, and followed by The Score in 2013.
